How To Configure TP-Link WiFi 6 AX1500 WiFi Extender

Before configuring the tp-link wifi 6 AX1500 wifi extender, you would need to make some hardware connections. Here’s how to do it:

  • Place the extender near to your existing router. This is only for the configuration process. After finishing the installation, re-locate your device.
  • Make sure your existing router is connected to the internet.
  • Plug your tplink device to an electrical outlet and turn it ON. Wait for the power LED to light up and get stable.

Method 1- Tether app

  1. Open Play Store or App Store and download the Tether app for free on your mobile phone.
  2. Connect your mobile device to the tplink network. Now, go back to tether app and log in using the TP-Link ID.
  3. Tap (+) icon on the top-right corner of the screen and select range extender. Allow the Tether app to join the extender’s network.
  4. Now, create a password to log in. Now, the tether will scan the host network. Choose your home network from the displayed list. Enter the Wi-Fi password, to connect.
  5. Keep the default extended network name and password or customize them if you like. Save the changes.
  6. Finally, re-locate your extender to a new location.

Method 2- Web-browser Method

  1. Connect your laptop to the tplink network and then open up a browser of your choice to begin with the tp link wifi 6 ax1500 wifi extender setup.
  2. Now, type tplinkrepeater.net in the address bar. Fill in the login credentials and get into tplink wifi 6 extender setup page.
  3. Then, connect to your router’s network by detecting its SSID. Enter the wifi password of the router’s password and repeat the process for 5 GHz.

Method 3- WPS Method

  2. Then, press the WPS button on the extender for the 3-5 seconds.
  3. Simultaneously, press the WPS button on the router.
  4. Next, release the button when you see a flashing WPS LED.
  5. Now, you can place your tplink extender into your desired location.
